Job Title: Sales Manager, Asia:
Job Description:
MTI Instruments, Inc. is looking for a Manager of Sales for Europe to drive our test and measurement equipment sales for the international market. Candidate must have successful track record in developing and winning new business in measurement instrumentation industries, general manufacturing, automotive, R&D and universities, and the semiconductor and solar markets.
Job Opportunity:
The Manager of sales is responsible for Asia sales and marketing, market share/growth, and profitability for the Asia region.
Responsibilities:
- Generates revenue forecast and operating plan for the Asian territory
- Achieve quarterly bookings/revenue plan
- Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new businesses
Manages existing distribution channels, and sets up new distributors/representatives
- Establishes performance goals for all sales representatives and distributors, monitors performance and reassesses existing relationships on a continual basis
- Trains new distributors on MTII's products and provide technical sales support
- Provides distributors technical sales support
Provides leadership in the day to day operations of the sales activities, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals
- Listens to customers requirements and presents appropriately to make a sale
- Prepares quotations for distributors and customers and prepares proposals to OEM accounts
- Coordinates sales operations with manufacturing, engineering, finance and other sales territory
- Develops, or participates with the senior staff in the development of the strategic business plan for the company and drive to achieve objectives established in the company strategic plan
Job Requirement:
- Successful sales track record in developing and winning new business and recruiting new distributors and managing the integration process in countries including China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India, and Singapore
- Minimum of 7 years in a sales management capacity
- Degree in electrical or electronics, software or mechanical engineering or similar
- Competency and confidence to compare, explain, and defend technical specifications against competing products
- International travel up to 50% required

- Sales executive responsible for international sales and marketing activities for general gauging instruments including non-contact laser triangulation, fiber optics, and capacitance technologies
- Provides leadership in the day to day operations of the sales activity, while maintaining focus on the companys strategic goals
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
- Coordinates sales operations with manufacturing, engineering, finance and other sales territory
- Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential. Establishes performance goals for all sales representatives and distributors, and monitors performance on a continual basis
- Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new businesses
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and emails. Also develops and improves business relations with all international customers of the company
- Member of the company's senior management staff and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Develops, or participates with the senior staff in the development of the strategic business plan for the company and drive to achieve objectives established in the company strategic plan
Job Requirement:
- Minimum of 7 years in a sales management capacity
- Successful sales track record in developing and winning new international business and recruiting new distributors and managing the integration process
- Degree in electrical or electronics, software or mechanical engineering or similar. MBA is highly desired
- International travel up to 50% required
