Bob Kot, MTI Instruments’ General Manager, joined the company in 2005 and his career spans over 30 years within the instrumentation and automation markets. His background includes Honeywell Process Management Systems, EMC Controls, Azonix and many venture capital backed technology companies within the process, instrumentation, security and building automation markets.
Rick Jones, MTI Instruments’ Director of Finance and Operations for MTI Instruments, Inc. has been with the Company since 1993. Prior to that, Rick served as Controller for two real estate management companies based in the Albany area.
Rick supervises the financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and administrative support functions of the organization. In addition, Rick also oversees the production, quality and shipping departments of MTI Instruments.
Gordon Reid, PE, MTI Instruments’ Senior Director of Sales & Marketing, joined MTII in 1995 and has overall responsibility for sales and marketing at MTI Instruments. Gordon is also the Product Line Manager for the Precision Instruments group with responsibility for product definition, quality control, manufacturing and customer service. Previously Gordon worked for over 10 years at a Representative and Distribution firm as a Sales/Applications Engineer of hydroelectric generating equipment, accessories and pump and control systems.
Don Welch, MTI Instruments’ Director of Engineering, joined MTI in 1985 and leads the company’s sustaining engineering effort by advancing the technology and functionality encapsulated within our existing products. Previously he was Director of Engineering for MTI Instruments and also worked as a senior electronics engineer for the R&D Division of MTI developing advanced diagnostic monitoring systems for the Power Industry (EPRI) and the Air Force. Previously Don worked for 10 years at Tele/Resources as Director of Engineering and was responsible for developing digital and analog telephone switching systems.
Dave Kennison, MTI Instruments’ Product Line Manager - Aviation Systems, joined MTI in 1977. During his tenure at MTI, Dave has assumed a wide variety of senior technical and management positions, encompassing all aspects of machinery and systems analysis.
Presently, Dave heads the MTI Instruments product group that designs and supplies vibration analysis and balancing instrumentation for the aviation and industrial market. In this position, Dave has overall responsibility for all aspects of this business, including product concept and development, sales and marketing, production and customer support. As the success of these systems has spread to over 55 countries, Dave travels extensively, assisting customers and providing sales, support and training throughout the world.
Previously, Dave has worked for General Electric and IBM and was responsible for diagnostic test programs for a broad range of systems and clients. Dave holds several advanced degrees and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Mike Hamilla, MTI Instruments’ Product Line Manager - Semiconductor Products, joined MTI Instruments in 1998. As Product Line Manager of Semiconductor products that offer integrated metrology solutions specifically for the semiconductor market, Mike is responsible for all aspects of this business including product definition, marketing, sales and service.
Previously, Mike worked as a private consultant providing process and business solutions for semiconductor wafer manufacturers expanding in the US. He also started a new company, GeSemiTechnologies, by developing state of the art manufacturing processes for germanium semiconductor substrates used in space-based, solar cell applications.
