MTII Provides Dimensional Measurements for an Automated Construction Block and Paver Qualifier
Structural building panels and acoustical tiles fit together like the toy building blocks you had as a kid. Remember when your set had a slightly larger or smaller block that caused your creation to collapse? Although not a life or death situation it sure was distressing to see your hard work end up in a pile. Thickness Measurements Made Easy
This month, MTII celebrated the shipment of it’s 125th Proforma 300 (PF-300) thickness tool. Although the PF-300 was designed for the semiconductor industry, it can also be used to measure virtually any conductive or semi-conductive material. It features a large LCD screen that displays thickness and thickness variation, an easy to use software package and an RS-232 interface that allows for remote monitoring, programming and alarming. The Proforma 300 is an ideal tool for off-line monitoring, process control and QC applications. If in-process monitoring is desired, MTII offers an extremely cost effective version of the Proforma 300 that operates though a remote software station. Application Tip
Most capacitance probes are ideal for making measurements in high vacuum applications because of their passive sensor design and extremely low heat generation. When using these sensors in a vacuum, be sure to request low out-gassing epoxy and probe cables.
