Eliminate the Need for a Laser Tach Sensor with the PBS-4100 Plus
Tired of getting your laser tach aligned, only to have it move when the engine is vibrating at full power?
Have you ever had the reflective tape come off during a run?
Has rain, snow or fog made it impossible to get a good laser tach signal?
Application Tip
During your next balance run, be sure to check the balance hole numbering direction in the "Engine Parameters" section of the PBS-4100 Plus' software. If the PBS is set up for counter-clockwise hole numbering, but the flight line mechanic counts the holes clockwise, the weight will be placed in the wrong position. To assure accurate installation, balance solutions showing specific weights to install, hole locations and direction of rotation can be printed from this section. To check your setting, go to the "Modify Parameters / Balance Plane" tab in the PBS software.
Sincerely,
