The PV-1000 in-line solar wafer inspection module has been improving customer yield and efficiency for years; but it's getting even better. Unique Capacitance Measurement Technique
The heart of MTII's Semi/Solar product line is the unique Push/Pull capacitance measurement system. Beating at 16kHz, the fast response time allows in-process wafer measurements at the speed of 5 wafers per second, and full wafer scans in under 40 seconds. The dual "valve" design eliminates the need for wafer grounding. This capacitance measurement white paper outlines the technology and advantages over single ended capacitance probes.
Application Tip
Did you know that the Proforma 300 wafer thickness tool has a built in 5-point measurement mode that complies with ASTM/SEMI standards? In the main pull-down menu simple select the 5-point mode and follow the active operator instructions provided on the LCD display. After completing the measurements the Proforma 300 automatically provides the maximum thickness, minimum thickness, average thickness, TTV and standard deviation of all measurements.
